My G.I.Doctor and surgean were talking about my stomach and acid problems they told me he is gonna do a Nissen fundoplication and Gastrectomy together has anyone here had this done,I was told i,ll be in hospital for a while.I,M nervous

I'm not sure what a gastrectomy is but I have the Nissen Fundo before.

The NF is where they take the floppy top part of your stomach and wrap it around your lower spinctor to strengthen the openning in the top of your stomach.
The Surgery does require some strict rules to follow for a good healing process. You have to follow the diet plan and restrict your lifting for at least 6 weeks or more.
The most obvious healing takes 4-6 weeks. The internal healing can last for a year.
I was in the hospital for 24 hours for my laproscopic procedure. Some people were sent home as soon as they were awake.
