Hi jonh71,It's good to hear that you made it through surgery (laproscopically...yay!) and are on the road to recovery! Happy redo! It sounds as if you're doing well. As you remember, these first few weeks are pretty rough, and it's just a matter of going with the flow and following your recovery's lead.
I assume you've been given an anti-nausea script. Be sure to keep it handy, as you won't want to vomit at this early stage of recovery.
Like you, I had a lung infection before, during, and after my recovery. I coughed A LOT, and it did irritate my incisions. The worst was my left rib incision, so I iced it a lot during early recovery. It helped a lot. I used to worry that all my coughing would damage my wrap, but thankfully, it didn't.
