Meds and bravo study

I have another bravo on Monday (in 2 days). I know I can't take anything strong so I've been off my omeprazole for a week. I didn't think it was doing anything but now that I haven't taken it, I'm miserable. I haven't been able to sleep without choking on acid. My stomach and throat have been burning nonstop. The nurse didn't say if I can or can't take zantac and I can't remember what they said the last time. I get symptoms as soon as my meds wear off in a few hours. Anyone know the protocol for H2 blockers?

That was the first time I've had a nurse tell me to drink alcohol. Ha! She said to eat/drink anything and everything on the 'no' list. But I think that's giving me a death sentence if I feel this bad with eating bland. I get why she said that though.

My surgeon had tightened mine twice. I had a small hernia repair with the last one also. I had a scope in the beginning of the year that showed my wrap is now herniated, twisted, and broken down. I had another scope in Sept that confirmed it. I was referred to a different surgeon (same one did all 3 nissens). He said the TIF might hold better for me than sutures but wants to make sure the symptoms I'm having is from reflux and not something else. My barium swallow showed no reflux so he wants me to do another bravo. Which is fine since it's one of the easier tests. :) It's just no meds at all is horrible.

He probably pinched a nerve when he put it in. It happens sometimes. Those are tricky things to attach.
