Hi all, I came on here a couple of weeks ago feeling desperately worried and got some really positive support - thanks to all for that. Well tomorrow I'm going in for my endoscope (bit nervous) and I just wanted to share my experience of slippery elm.
I started to take slippery elm about
4 weeks ago and have taken it pretty much every day since. Over the last couple of weeks my symptoms have lessened to the point that I thought, given time, they would clear up. As I have the endoscope tomorrow I stopped the slippery elm on Saturday (2 days ago) as I thought it may give false results. To cut a long story short, today I feel awful - all symptoms back and getting worse as the day goes on. It must be the slipppery elm that's been helping because, other than the odd dose of gaviscon or windsettlers, it's all I've been taking. It may not work for everyone and the effect is not immediate but it's been a blessing for me.
Jenny.
