Hi Eloy,Sorry you're having problems. Often after the holidays and party-eating, you can get an uptick of reflux, even though you've had the surgery. Nissens don't take reflux to zero--just to the level that people without GERD have. (Otherwise, we couldn't get food into our stomachs!) So if you're eating worse things and more of them, it's very likely that you may have some symptoms due to reflux. However that doesn't mean that your wrap has come undone, or that you will feel that way forever.
Take it easy on the eating and drinking...baby your stomach. Be careful about going to bed too soon after your last meal--stick to 3-4 hours after eating. It'll take time to heal, but it's likely that your symptoms will subside and you'll be right back to feeling well again.
I've had a similar experience, and all is well now. I learned a lesson and avoid certain holiday treats that cause me problems. I'm quite confident that your wrap is just fine.
Still, you may want to get a barium swallow just to ease your fears. Your PCP should be able to order it for you. Let us know how your appointment goes! Hope you feel better soon.
Happy New Year,
Denise
