JB85,

May will be one year. I was told by the surgeon to stop taking the PPI's right away. The reflux and rebound was so bad, I had to go back on them.

Even now as I taper off, I am still having problems with the acid and reflux, I just don't know what to do.

The linx works on and off so when I go to the doc and get tests done, it does not show an accurate picture of it abilities.

BG,

You mention that when you had a barium swallow study done it looked like your Linx was moving above the diaphragm. You may be dealing with a sliding Hiatus hernia which could be causing the Linx to be somewhat ineffective. If I were you I would get a copy of the barium study, the place that did the study can put the images on a cd, and take it to someone that could possible address the issue if the Linx surgeon is unwilling to do so.

JB85,

I have had 2 bariums and they both show linx going above and below the diap. The linx surgeon said that only one other person had this happening to them with the linx and that they did not have reflux problems. I said well- I am-. Again, doc not too concerned about the barium.

I think you are right, I need to see someone else.

The problem is, no doc wants to touch me. They all tell me to "go back to my surgeon " if i am having problems. I can't seem to get any help with other docs. I want to find a linx doc who I could get a second opinion from and see if this is acceptable or not.
