I don't know of a better forum than this one. There are many people discussing surgery issues, but also tons of lifestyle suggestions if you take the time to cruise through various thread topics.
I guess you haven't looked at the Fast Tract diet thread I've already mentioned on this thread. It mentions that carbs like pasta are harder to digest than proteins and fats. There are also many people with wheat and or gluten sensitivities that contribute to their GERD, so you could eliminate those products for a couple of weeks to see if that makes a difference. If you drink milk, you could switch to lactose-free for a couple of weeks. I agree with you that small meals are very important.
My general experience is that I feel better if I move around after eating like walking, or work at a kitchen counter than I do sitting. Bending over to load the dishwasher or pull garden weeds will make my symptoms worse.
