Hi,
i have been having chronic somach pain that i cant really explain. this has been going on for 3 years since i was rushed to the ER because i thought i was having a heart attack. i have waist pain, chest pain shoulder and back stabbing pain. i get full easily eaten small amount of food and already lost 37 pounds. i look horrible and cant even do anything.i have pain around my right ribcage and it feel like there is something there ready to explode. my chest is tight with pressure and 24hours heart burn and i get burning pain around the right rib cage when i eat and even if i dont eat i get pain.i regurgitate when i eat and it comes back up to my throat with burning sensation in my throat.i burp,feel nausea and almost feel like i wanna throw up but i cant. i have had Hida scan, Ultra sound, endoscopy, countless of blood work. cat scan. and everything came back normal. the endoscopy is to check if i have ulcer or to check for any damage to the esophagus. everything came back fine only mild gastritis. i have taken all kinds of medication with no result. i need help to give me an idea what i can do, or if anyone else has experienced this.

Welcome to Healing Well!  I don't have any medical expertise on the topic, but I can tell you that my husband gets very bad gallbladder attacks that sound an awfully lot like you're describing.  Like you, his Hida scan showed nothing.  Still, he gets repeated attacks, and even had a bad one today.

I wish that there was an easier way to deal with a recurrent gallbladder issue that doesn't appear diseased.  I did hear of one instance where a PCP (mine) had a patient with severe gallbladder symptoms with nothing showing up on tests.  Finally, the doctor convinced a surgeon to remove this supposed healthy gallbladder.  Guess what?  The gallbladder was diseased!

have spent alot of money doing all this test without insurance and still i cant work or function. am depressed with lots of pain and i cant sleep at night.have heard so many stories about gall bladder coming back normal and after the surgery the gall bladder was already dead. i feel terrible and i cant take care of myself because of this pain. i really need an answer and i have been to hospitals and ER so many times.my stool looks like clay and when i try to exercise i will almost pass out because of the pain in my chest and it makes me weak. i just want to get to the root of this and i have been thinking of doing surgery because my GI wants me to and the surgeon wont do it and ask for more test and i have done all the test,blood stool and urine and they came back normal. i just made an appointment with another surgeon and i hope he will do it this tiem. am just fed up and now i have a black circle under my eyes.

are you on any medications for reflux?
I'm having the same problems as you and all doctors can give me are ppis and other antiacids
they help sometimes, but most of the time I'm in pain

all the antacid medication dont work for me.the pain medication dont work ,only elavil worked for my pain and am currently taken elavil and nexium. what are your symptoms?

throat burning and more recently some blisters in the back of my throat, nasal drip and burning sometimes, clicking noises in my ear, chest and stomach tightness almost constant, dry cough sometimes, pain in my left and right rib, nausea, stomach burning and heartburn, can not sleep (which for me is the worse), can not lay flat, I have to sleep on an incline on my back, very uncomfortable. I've been having this for the past year and 4 months.
I've done 3 endoscopies, all clear the GI said my esophagus is good, just a little gastritis, barium showed no reflux, bravo test showed very little reflux. It was done on medication, and I was having symptoms the whole time that I did the test, but it didn't show anything, my doctor told me than it shows that my medication is working, so there is nothing else he can do; chest x-rays, ultrasounds and blood work all were good, gastric emptying test showed a little delay, but not major

results? the doctor said to watch what I eat and take my medication, after I spent thousands of dollars on tests and his visits. I could have got that from my family doctor

OMG.........all the sympstoms are just like mine...am burning inside right now with pain all over my body. stomach and chest feels congested and i have mild gastritis no reflux and all test i did showed normal. i tested possitive for H pylori and not its negative after i took medication. dry caough,shoulder pain. i take elavil to help with pain and make me sleep. am seeing a surgeon maybe he can take my gall bladder out. am really surffering and cant continue like this. i think you might want to change your doctor.
