Hi S Kendrick,Generally bloating is worst during recovery, when the wrap is swollen and isn't able to release gas into the esophagus. Once the swelling subsides, as long as the wrap wasn't made too tight, most people aren't bothered by much gas at all.
Generally the biggest gas/bloating annoyance and discomfort subsides after healing. It takes 6 months for most of the healing, and a year for the rest. Sometimes it takes into the second year to resolve some of the little annoying quirks, as the body needs to fully adjust to the changes that have been made.
Best wishes,
Denise
