Hi Lady.G,I'll do my best to answer your questions:
1) How many lbs did you loose in the first 2 months?
So far from May 6, 2013 to today 6/24/23 (49 days) I have lost 37 lbs. By my calculations I am loosing 1.3 lbs per day, which is way more that the "safe" 2 lbs per week.
I lost 15 pounds total, which was likely mostly achieved in the first three months. Of course, these amounts depend upon how much you were eating before the surgery, and how much you weigh. Thinner people lose less weight, heavier people tend to lose more. It's just a matter of how much you had to eat to maintain the weight you were prior to surgery.
37 pounds in two months sounds excessive in any case. Still, you went through two surgeries, and probably have some muscle loss in addition to fat. The fact that you had complications likely, led to a longer time without eating, and a loss of appetite, as well as the typical weight loss from eating small quantities after surgery.
2) How long ago did you have your surgery and are you still loosing weight now (looking for 6 months & longer)?
I began very gradually gaining weight by 6 months (it started once I began eating normal quantities), and gradually regained the weight I'd lost.
3) If you still are loosing how many ponds have you now lost to date?
I only lose weight when I try.
4) If you are still loosing weight is it still as fast coming off as when you first had the surgery?
NA
Have you discussed your quick weight loss with your surgeon. If not, I would. It's probably a result of all the problems you had, and it will take your body longer to heal and regain its balance. Hang in there. I know you've been through a lot.
Very best wishes,
Denise
