Hi Faran, I too had the feeling of a lump in my throat. I have previous posts about it but I'll give you a quick summary here. I have GERD and when it first happened, I had such a sore throat I couldn't swallow. I never had any acid reflux symptoms so I had no idea what caused it. But after all the battery of tests, I was diagnosed with GERD. I went to a specialist who said that I have IBS which will cause the sensation of a lump in my throat. He prescribed anti-spasmatic meds, but I don't like to take meds unless absolutely necessary. I found that if I control my GERD with diet and Zantac, the lump went away. Now I only seem to get it when I go way off the grid and drink a lot or eat a lot of the "bad foods" - for me pizza, chips, alcohol in excess - the lump comes back. For me, aloe drink and TUMS seems to calm the IBS and as soon as I start eating healthy again the lump feeling goes away.
