I don't reflux much anymore. Tests show low acid . I am wondering if anyone's doctor thinks its ok to just take one ppi per day instead of two ?
Thanks

You should probably talk to your GI doctor. I have reflux and I take one ppi a day but there are different strengths and different types. I take dexilant 60 instead of two protonix 40 that I use to take.
If you are low acid see what your doctor says.

Teacherman-
I don't take any PPIs since my reflux is controlled with the nissen. If your reflux is controlled with 1 PPI that is good. It's best for your body to control it with the least amount of meds needed.
Since you had the barretts ablated and you seem to have your reflux under control I would stick with the minimum you need.
Are you worried the barretts will return?
Take care;

Yes, I worry that it will return. Doc says it won't, if I take ppi's religiously. I didn't ask about
lowering it a few weeks ago. But the news about
heart problems created a new anxiety for me.
