Odd symptoms

Hi. I'm Andy, I'm 34 tall and slender build and I've been having some very strange symptoms.

Please forgive if you have read this post elsewhere, I am trying to get to the bottom of my issues and as a result will need to post this in a couple of places.

My symptoms include some heart palpitations and extra heart beats which my doctor has identified as ecotopic heart beats (Extra beats). I also get sharp pains around the chest area. This includes the centre of the chest and slightly to the left towards my shoulder. Pain under both sides of my ribs though not very often together. I get sharp pains down my left arm though it seems to move around somewhat. I can often feel it in my middle finger forearm, under my armpit and into my shoulder, often behind my left shoulder pain. I also find pain in the middle and lower parts of my back.

I was also diagnosed with a small Hiatus/hiatal Hernia. I get allsorts of stomach pain ranging from heart burn to sharp pains in and around the stomach both left and rights side of my lower intestins. Sometimes the pain is so sharp it can double me over. The pain sometimes runs into the centre of my stomach.

I also find I sometimes get quite dizzy and feel somewhat panic. I don't really have a full panic attack. Just a general feeling of being really unwell and discomfort. This lasts for hours. Not the normal ten or twenty minutes that you might expect from a panic attack. I also find I feel this way before a bowl movement.

I feel bloated after most of my meals. I have frequent visits to the toilet but don't often pass much. After a few days of this I tend to pass quite a lot on each visit throughout the day. Visits can be up to five times in one day.

I sometimes get a dull pain in my lower left jaw and sometimes a feeling of strain in my right arm though not often. I have noticed a feeling of general fatigue most of the time. I eat well and excersise often. Infact I consider myself quite fit. I do a lot of cycling and a bit of swimming, and spend some time stretching.

Naturally as you might imagine I have had many visits to my doctor. I've had blood work done on my heart and many ECGs (EKG) which all comeback normal apart from the extra beat which my doctor spotted when he was checking my heart rate. I have a low resting heart rate, which is in the mid forties. I am told it's because I am fit.

All this has had me at a loss. I am an educated guy and have conducted a great deal of research. I have an open mind and try not to get carried away. The doctor suggested it could be anxiety. I strongly disagree as I have nothing to be worried about. Apart from my symptoms that is. All this is really getting in the way of my life. The other day I was in the band and began to feel faint. No reason, I was not upset or tired and my diet is good.

I start a professional teacher training course in September. I need to try and get some answers. If anyone has any thoughts. Please get in touch. I live in the UK and the doctors round here are not great. I need to figure this out somehow.

It sounds like it could be GERD and IBS together. Have you seen a GI doctor? I have had some of the same symptoms and I have been able to get most of them under condtrol with diet, chewing gum, some lifestyle changes, and a fewsuppliments.

I have the exact same symptoms as Bjornbar along with the same diagnosis. It is amazing to me that GERD and a hiatal hernia can cause so many problems.

Constipation can cause alot of crazy symptoms. Im wishing i had not traveled so much the past 4 years. I was driving 2000 miles per week non-stop and ended up with alot of those symptoms. I believe i had a touch of pancreatitis and constipation. The rest of the story is a nightmare because i went to our local hospital which the towns people call Kevorkian Community Hospital. The were going to remove my gallbladder based on symptoms alone and it turns out my gallbladder is fine. Working with a much bigger hospital now trying to figure out how a Bravo probe screwed up my throat. Good luck to all of you. I know the misery.
