Endostim - LPR & Upright reflux

Endostim has approved patents in this now - I think it sounds fantastic and wish to God I could have one now! It also helps with motility - I wish they'd get a move on with this one.

Have just finished my PH study this morning - didn't really feel any reflux into the mouth, but as soon as the machine was removed and took a ppi - LPR - go figure!

Still pepetest that I took last week shows a lot of pepsin in the mouth.

Am waiting on all the results to come in to see if I am eligible for the Endostim privately?

I know my LES is now 8 - so the pressure is going down as the hernia is getting bigger, still got a few motility issues, but on the whole swallows were okay.

Fingers crossed because hernia pain and chest pain is horrible now every day!

It looks from the drawings, details and dates, that these are new patents and are going to be new modified products. I do think that the Endostim & the Linx are the way forward for most typical gerd sufferers. They just need to make them remote devices!

As far as I'm aware there is no risk of erosion - and little risk of the leads moving - it is in fact I think the least invasive to the LES - as it is not making a new valve or compressing it in any way, and the only development that I know of that actually helps to restore the tone of the LES.

Hi everyone this is a question for all the Endostim implanters out there. Well two questions really. Has anyone felt their symptoms have become worse after the Endostim (I mean after the initial period for settling down has passed) and has anyone found they got relief from PPI but after Endostim found other symptoms appearing ie just swopping one set of symptoms for another? All posts from successful Endostimers would also be really welcome and encouraging for all of us still going the through the 'misery days' of Gerd.
