ive neglected my oral health for some time now and want to change that

i have used peroxyl mouthwash for mouth sores and im wondering if this can potentially increase reflux its a hydrogen peroxide based mouth wash

ive had episodes shortly after using it but not right after so not sure if its a coincidence

and if that can then what oral products such a toothpaste and mouth wash would you recommend

Don't use peroxide it mixes with the gastric juices and can damage your esophagus!

I'm prone to mouth sores due to my Lupus and my doctors have me rinse my mouth out with warm salt water. Another lady on the Lupus site gargles with a teaspoon of rum. She says it burns like crazy at first but then it numbs it for a few hours.

If you have very sensitive teeth you can get something like pronamel or sensodyne. Alcohol free mouthwash will feel the best for your sore mouth.

Are you seeing a dentist regularly? They can fix any cavities you may develop from the GERD. They also can give you a perscription toothpaste if you need it.

i get sores but also have problems with my gums and everything is very sensitive

unfortunately i dont go to the dentist to often because i dont have dental insurance

so im looking for a combo of tooth paste and mouth wash that will be good for my mouth sores,sensitive teeth and gums and wont bother my reflux

Get you a care credit card. Most dentists accept them and they will reduce what you pay if you're self pay. I don't have dental insurance either.
