Drinking water during meals while taking DGL?

Hello..  I just bought DGL and started taking it at supper time.  I did not realize you should let the tablet dissolve in your mouth then swallow it, but I will from now on..  My question is, while eating, should you just take little sips of water and then can you drink a glass of water after?  If you should drink water after, how long do you wait?

I wouldn't let DGL dissolve, I would chew it then swallow. IMO, I don't drink water during meals and after I only sip.....I never drink a glass of water (or anything) after a meal.

Thanks DOGGBONES.. These 2 items are always talked about and each person says different. I read to drink water as it helps with digestion and then I read not to because it dilutes the acid needed to digest food? Hmmm.. I am used to drinking water with food, so I am trying to just take sips with it and then wait awhile after a meal and then drink the water I want..
Maybe it is what works best for each person..

Correct, water does help with digestion and it does dilute stomach acid. This is why I get my water away from food (except sips) as it does help and we need, however diluting acid with food in the tummy is a bad idea. Also, I would advise drinking room temp water, cold water is very hard on the digestive system. Good luck!

thanks for asking the question, I am always confused about taking water with pills but not with pills and food.

I started taking dgl plus which also has slippery elm, marshmallow root, aloe vera, and a small amount of vit c. Do you think I should empty the capsule and chew it first instead of just swallowing the capsule like was suggested for just the dgl?

I haven't taken dgl plus, however I do know that your saliva is what activates the enzyme in the dgl. DGL must be chewed (mixed with saliva) in order to work properly.
