I have GERD & LPR and over the past year really noticed my LPR has been causing non-allergenic rhinitis for years. I take sedated almost every day for the congestion. Anti-histamines don't work at all.
Dexilant helps with the burn but it doesn't stop regurgitation which is why I still have LPR.
I have had 24 Ph tests and Manometry and am considering surgery. No guarantees but I found a study that suggests that anti-reflux surgery helps extraesophogeal symptoms such as sinus, ear infections, and breathing problems. Do a search on pubmed and you should find it. Encouraging.
