I have the kale in my fridge, I plan on juicing that pretty soon. Since I literally just got the juicer, I've had a lot to experiment with. I'll let you know how that goes!
The juicer I got was the Hurom Slow Juicer HU-100SB. I bought it off of costco's website. This one has a cap at the spout that ejects the actual juice, which makes for easier cleaning and allows for mixing several juices at once in the machine, and probably benefits the process of making almond milk when putting almonds in the machine to help moisten the almonds more before they are juiced out. Some of the recipes included in the recipe book have fruit and milk to be put in the machine, then the almonds.

High speed juicers introduce a lot of air to the extracted juices, causing oxidation, that damages all the good nutrients from the food. Hurom's juicer runs at a much lower speed, and presses all the juice out, so the juice you get lasts longer (72 hours rather than 24 hours with high speed juicers), is healthier and tastes better than the juice you'd get from other juicers.
Here is a really good video to watch about
the juicer, and also helps to explain some of that.

Pina coladas sound good! I've found that cold beverages actually help with the inflammation and swelling at the wrap site.
I am interested in the chia seeds, I've not tried them before. You caught my interest about
the story behind how you found out about
them, because I enjoy running quite a bit.
At one point I was training for a half marathon, I ended up getting some stress fractures in the metatarsal bones in my feet. Twice actually. I've found that the acid reducing medications would block the absorption of calcium carbonate, the kind of calcium you'd find in most foods. I believe that was a huge factor in getting those. One of the benefits of having this surgery is not needing to take those meds anymore. The chia must be some pretty good stuff if they could use it like that! I'll take a look and figure out where I can get it.
