Hi Maria
My issue is still in eating. Much of my acid reflux has gone away, I still clear my throat from the acidic saliva throughout the day. I do still have lots of swelling, which is why I think I'm still having difficulty eating.
I usually cant eat more than one texture of food at a time, or it will get stuck, depending on how badly it gets stuck sometimes I have to regurgitate it. I was able to eat a thin crust pizza because of the sauce and the cheese and the crust was thin and crunchy. But if I eat something like that, its only one, maybe two slices, and it takes a half hour or more to eat. Forget sandwiches, I expect it will be months before I get to that point again, at least at the rate my eating is improving. I could take a sandwich apart and eat what's on it, one thing at a time. The vegetables are tough to eat too, especially the lettuce. Eating is very time consuming, especially depending on what I'm trying to eat. It's still an all day process for me to eat.
Two weeks ago that situation was a lot worse. The same kind of food would have taken me a few hours. One of the days I went home from work early because my stomach was spasming in an attempt to throw up, so I was heaving over my trash can, while frantically trying to get those anti nausea meds out of that ridiculous packaging that you have to take forever to peel off to get the pill out. I want to yell maybe even hit the person that decided to make anti nausea meds time consuming and a surgical process to get the pill out. Usually when you need those meds you cant take it fast enough.
Edit: I ended up regurgitating a bunch of the scrambled eggs I tried eating this morning. It's definitely a roller coaster recovery.
