Hello,
This post might be a little long, so thanks for taking the time to read it.
My symptoms started in Jan of 2013 at first as only nausea after I drank my morning coffee. So I cut the coffee out, then by Aug 2013 my nausea was worse it was happening often like 4 times a week or so and would last for 2-3 days at a time. I also began to lose my appetite and I lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks. So I went to the doc and he put me on prescription Pepcid one pill twice a day before breakfast and before bed. I went back a week later because I started having heartburn along with all the other problems listed. The new doc upped the dosage to four pills a day (2 in the morning and 2 at night) well I had to stop taking that med as it caused me severe constipation. so I went to my personal doc and she prescribed Pantoprazole 40mg, take one pill a day. She also ordered an ultrasound of my gallbladder (the results came back normal) then she ordered the EGD and I had that done in Nov 2013. They also did a biopsy then everything came back normal.
The GI doc said to up the Pantoprazole to two pills a day for 6 weeks then go back down to one pill day. My next appt with her is Jan 21st. I am still currently take the two pills day. It seems to help better with my symptoms but not entirely.
My current symptoms are: burping a lot all day long, nausea after I eat (I am trying to avoid all the foods that I know that cause it) fullness really fast after eating. Like a sick full feeling like I ate a whole cow and my portion size was really a small/normal one. I sometimes even still get the heartburn but it goes away on its own. my main symptoms that is most unbearable is the nausea which I take Ondansetron 4mg for when it flares up but that barely works most times.
My question is I am not sure what I have and it seems the docs don't know either. I was told I had GERD, Acid Reflux and Gastritis by all of the docs I have seen.
