Hi folks,

Any of you long-standing post-op Linx veterans have symptoms similar to mine?: 9 months after surgery food gets stuck in the LES area (5-10 percent of what I eat), and when it does I regurgitate undigested food (it never entered the stomach), sometimes for a couple of hours or more.

Sometimes it doesn't happen. I don't know why. I do know that, if I'm tense, the LES area tenses up too (maybe that's how it weakened over the years!) and the problem is compounded.

Let me know! My doctor had not heard of this. about three weeks ago they performed a dilation to 16mm, thinking it might be that the capsule had healed too tightly. It's too early to tell whether this has worked.

Anyway, please let me know if you've had similar symptoms.

Hello Sinfrontera I was wondering how are you doing overall. I'm going to see dr. Soper  soon and was interested in the  Linx myself. I'm going for the bravo and motility in couple of weeks. I have gerd for about six months only but don't do well with medicine plus still feel the reflux. I know its early to consider surgery but I can't stand that disease. I followed your recovery journal and thought it was great. Because of it I found out a about dr. Soper so I'm grateful. Are you happy with your surgery I see you have some issues but hopefully nothing that couldn't get resolved. What was your bill total I'm paying out of pocket so trying to get a rough idea since it will be in the same hospital. I'm in northwestern suburbs. Thanks in advance. Anna.

Hi Anna. If you are considering having the LINX procedure with Dr. Soper or someone in Chicago I'd be happy to talk to you do email correspondence to discuss my experiences and your own questions. Let me know if that would be helpful.

Sinfrontera that would be great if we could communicate. I also thought of it but didn't want to sound pushy . I really appreciate your offer since I'm sitting here depressed worrying about coming off my Prilosec starting tomorrow for my bravo next week.
