So I went to my appt today and the doc told me that he has discovered a hiatal hernia. Ive had a endoscopy, manometry study, and a barium swallow and hes just now telling me I have the hiatal hernia... Shouldn't he has seen it earlier? Why now?
So the surgery has been canceled until further notice. He is contacting a few doctors who have seen patients with scleroderma characteristics to see what type of wrap would be beneficial and not kill me.
It is possible that he will be referring me to another doctor that can better handle my critical case. Hopefully I'll get more answers before I get any worse.
Any positive advice or comfort you can give me would be awesome.
I am going to see my family doctor Thurday to see if she can put me on a depression medicine to help me thru this.
