Did any of you limit your activities after your Nissen? As many know, I'm 9 months out and recently had a barium swallow. Everything checked out well. I had started to feel better, but I'm thinking I overdid it this weekend from simply doing a lot of moving around.
My wrap area is just bugging me today. Will it always get irritated? I guess I could still be healing to a degree.
Thanks in advance.
I'm 5 1/2 months out. Last week I went to the gym and hit the bags for the first time since the op. I was tickling them I was hitting them so lightly but God it felt great! Other boxers were politely ignoring me I was so lame :) Yesterday I went for a small run (a few 100 metres) and I was grinning like an idiot it felt so good.
I find I have to work out WAY WAY WAY lighter than I even think I'm capable of. Otherwise everything tightens up there and then, and the next day is terrible. Oh and after any light activity give yourself a break of several days - for me, 4 at least.
Walking and going up stairs is great exercise though. Walking doesn't affect my wrap at all, even up hill.
Here's to getting fit again!
