I know this is silly, as I am still here speculating but I have my endoscope scheduled in the next week.
After Dr Google self diagnosis, I can only explain my trapped air emergencies to near choking issues after eating things like chocolates or shakes as Esophageal Stricture. Simply just wants to reflux when I panic and then I can't burp or vomit and then breathing is affected then I have to at least get on the phone with 911 because it feels like balooning trapped air. It all gets tight then I finally burp. And if my mom is around she tries to get me to drink a carbonated drink. (Is that safe btw?).
If this is in combination with a possible Hiatal Hernia, am I in serious trouble right now as my scope nears?
Should I tell the endoscopist to NOT dilate if there is a stricture? Because perforation is ugly, and the mortality/morbidity rate is 20 percent after that perforation. I am a 34 year old male with a healthy heart... Which perhaps is not so healthy anymore after all that panic.
