Hi all and thanks for the support. Got over the fear, showed up and did it.. ('better living with hypnosis" on the net by the way... i would have cancelled the test if not for catching that 1 dollar an mp3 sale... highly recommended).
The test and how was it? absolutely NOTHING like forums describe it. At least not up here in Brampton Ontario. I walked in and as soon as I saw how high tech the room was i felt this sense of comfort. As like an alien room. And whoever else has to get one of these... do not listen to what forum say... its better to stay off them altogether... there is absolutely NO such thing as being "asked to swallow a tube", there is no such thing as any discomfort or gagging, or even feeling a single thing for that matter other than the IV going in your hand, or the mouth piece on your mouth for a sec... As soon as the mouthpiece goes on you go to black and you then wake up in the recover bed sleeping. As if nothing even happened. At least in a place that knows what they are doing. Technically. All other endoscopy stories i have read are total BS. If you ever go to a clinic that asks you to actually swallow the tube then those people are clearly on crack and should not be in med.
The GI guy said there is nothing wrong with my stomach or esophagus and i have a tiny 5mm hiatal hernia that slides. (Thats right 5 millimeters.). No strictures no polyps, no ulcers, no gastritis, no nothing. Nothing at all.
So now I am left with no concrete answers as to sudden esophageal spasms other than possible hypotheses - the only one given by the doc was anxiety causing it. My guesses are either that, or some unknown physiological change that science cannot as of yet detect.... led on further by possible food allergies, poor rest habits... bad mentality... etc... but nothing is concrete empirically as to say "this or that is the anxiety molecule that changes tissue in this or that way to produce the symptoms... absolutely no real answers from science... just an insane display of technology. Nothing but flash and attempts at reassurance that my issue was just anxiety.
