Hello all:
I did not have gerd before my endoscopy, or, I did not know it. My test revealed H=Pylori and some ulcerations in my stomach. Just wondering if I could still have it after taking Pylera for a week? My symptoms seem to be different that ya'lls. I have no appetite and only eat because I need to. I have the burning whether I eat or not. Mine is more in my throat, tongue, and roof of mouth. I am o.k. at night when I sleep on a wedge. I started DGL today and I am hoping it helps. I am strictly following the,"Dropping Acid" induction diet. I have completed a week and do not notice a difference. I have taken omeprazole and Protonix, now I am on zantac 300 mg, twice daily. How long before you notice a difference with these meds?
Hello Lufflowers,
Welcome to the Forum!
We are here to help each other and many of our members have great knoowledge of diets, and what to do with the PPIs.
When did you have your endoscopy? The doctor gave you antibiotics for the H pilory?
I have heard that many people get better after the HPILORY goes away.
I take the DGL chewable tablets, they help me a lot. I have not heard of the dropping acid diet, I will check it later.
The doctor told you to take Zantac 300mg twice a day? When did you take the omeprazole?
For what you say you have not noticed any difference taking the ZANTAC than the Omeprazol? I have not noticed much difference.
Keep up with your diet. It is very important to know what triggeres it.
Many members know more that I do. I am sure they will help you and me.
HUGS
