Hi webbo,Welcome to the Healing Well
Wrapped Club!
Glad to hear your surgery went well. The first few weeks are very challenging, and there are a variety of discomforts you'll have to deal with.
During the first two or so weeks, your wrap becomes increasingly swollen as a result of the surgical trauma. Because of this you develop uncomfortable swelling, which explains the issues you described. It's not easy to deal with, but you have to get through it before you can get better. Once you get through the peak swelling symptoms, things will begin to gradually resolve.
Just listen to your body and "go with the flow". If you can surrender to your recovery and follow its lead, you will do just fine. Give your body permission to heal in its own good time.
That said, never hesitate to call your surgeon's office if you have extreme pain or concerns about
your condition. That's why they get paid the big bucks!
From what you've described, though, it sounds as if what you're experiencing is normal.
Glad you've joined the forum!
Happy healing,
DenisePS...hope you'll consider starting a new thread on the new page. It'll be easier for people to find your questions and respond.
