I am relatively new, so thanks in advance for replies and help!
I am a 23 yr old female, with a pretty healthy lifestyle, don't drink or smoke, but have extreme nausea, mainly at night. The past few weeks, it's been unbearable to the point where I am up all night long.
I went to the doc today, who was treating me for multiple things, but looked in my throat and said he saw " acid damage" that I need to be pretty careful. He's put me on 40mg of Omeprazole once a day, and he thinks I may have the beginnings of an ulcer so gave me something to help coat my stomach.
I try not to eat things that I know are triggers for heartburn, but I sometimes do in moderation, sometimes it's fine, and sometimes they bother me with a vengeance.
Sometimes I feel actual heartburn and most of the time, it's like it's "silent" with symptoms of not being able to burp, the feeling of trapped gas or things " rising" and not being able to burp or relieve it, whilst eating, the feeling of food being stuck in esophagus, and really bad nausea, and tightness in the throat.
And recently I've been dealing with sinus issues and post nasal drip, which I know can be related to GERD but I struggle to see how?
Does anyone else suffer from this feeling predominantly? what have you done to help it?
