Unitednations161, did you know that the fine print/legalese papers inside of a package of Dexilant indicate that it is to be used for 6 months or less? Omeprazole says 14 days. Reading the possible complications and side effects is scary. (You can find it online.) I'm not sure why the GI docs seem oblivious to this, other than big pharma $$$.
I am off PPIs using DGL, slippery elm, chamomile, and sometimes lemon grass. I think it is better to use several things at one time as opposed to DGL alone because they do different things. I couldn't prove it, but it seems like the more constant and continual you can be about
using these things, the more they help. For instance, sometimes I think that sipping on my tea for an hour works better than chewing up a DGL licorice lozenge all at one time. I always slowly dissolve a slippery elm lozenge at opposed to chewing it up. This is my experience:
