I'm 28 now. When I was in highschool and college I use to notice problems with my voice and slight burning in the throat, but thought nothing of it.... These symptoms were always off and on. Looking back at today, for the past few months I have been getting severe voice changes constantly, throat clearing, pitch red throat, waking up with weird stuff in my mouth, shortness of breathe, pain/fullness in ears.... However, very recently I also started getting bad heartburn at night, and a lot of spasms in my esophogus. Last week i was so bloated that i went to the dr and they put me on Omeprezele.. It's now been a week and i 'm still bloated and have this burning feeling in my breastbone area... i also have other weird aches (chest, lower left abdominal, back), and food feels like its being stuck near my breastbone and not digesting properly.. also feeling very fatigued (which might be linked to anxiety though)
I got a referral to a GI specialist, which I will be seeing in a couple weeks. I'm just really worried that I might have developed something worse like Barrett's since i didn't get it looked after for so long.. :(
