Losing weight and exercising does not work for everyone - But congratulations that it worked for you.
I was 125 pounds - worked out at the gym 3 times a week bare minimum, and worked hard enough that I had muscles. I, too, ated healthy almost all of the time. Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, etc.
But, I also have a hiatal hernia - and because of that, the vavlve cannot shut/close properly - so when I lay down, I end up having acid came back and some of the molucules go entirely up my throat, even into my bronchial tube area, up into my sinuses - causing nodes on my vocal cords, my whole esophagus is burned and on fire, I had to double my albuterol inhaler as even my bronchial tubes swell up. My diet was great since I had high cholesterol, so I didn't eat tons of meat and little fats. I do not drink carbonated beverages at all since it kills my throat.
For those who may have the same thing, do some more research on LPR. I saw on more than one site people blaming breathelessness on anxiety, whe nin fact, you very well might have your bronchial tubes being aggravated. If you can lose your voice from the pepsin, then your bronchial tubes are right there and it doesn't take much to inhale some of that and you aren't even aware of it.
I'm still working on what works for me. No choc, most beverages are no; no tomatoes or citrus fruits, no fats, no salad dressings, no dairy products except for skim milk and fat free yogurt, etc. cut back on egg yolks. I found I can make eggs by using onlu 1/2 yolk and 2 egg whites and scramble. Tastes pretty much the same. I can eat some watermelon and cantaloupe and some bananas and soe blueberries - not strawberries.
No aspartame products. I was shocked so many products still use that.
Good luck
