It's very simple. I've taken the Peptest and Restech tests in the past right? I did this on my home turf and made sure to eat junky food, avoid my alkaline kettle water and bot take meds. Sounds like I did everything right yes?
Then just the other day I invested in a pH meter and decided to check my local tap water for the sake of knowing. It's pH 8.0 - 8.4. It kills off pepsin. And I've been drinking it during my spit tests without knowing this. I meant to encourage the reflux, not prevent it from being detected!!
And now I can barely breath as I try using a more neutal source of water to see what happens. I can't swallow. I can barely breath. There's a lump in my throat. I've got indigestion/hunger feelings. I burp way too much. IT ALL POINTS TO LPR. And I was stupid enough to erase evidence of it without even realising it.
So now I'm back at square one. The only thing I have left to hold onto is the negative impedance/manometry, which didn't catch my mucus or lump in throat or indigestion feeling. Otherwise I have just proved to myself all my hope was false and I really do have LPR after all. I just want to throw myself off a cliff right now........
