Had Fundo Nissen with hernia repair a week ago

I had surgery a week ago and I'm still in a lot of pain. This was a redo and part of my stomach was attached to my liver so needless to say it was a long surgery and it's been a long 6 days. I'm still on only soft foods and even scrambled eggs got stuck today, earlier I couldn't even get a smoothie in me. I know the swelling is normal for the first two weeks, I'm just surprised how much pain I'm in. How long for others was it before you were eating more solid foods and how long before the pain from surgery went away? I had it laparoscopically.

My lap redo was my most painful nissen. I was on pain meds for almost 2months.

My eating with the redo was slower than my initial nissen, but I went 3 weeks without being able to eat or drink due to complications, I had a couple holes in my stomach from them having trouble undoing the first one.

Remember with the redo there was a lot more surgery done and things are going to be more swollen and for longer. Be very patient and take it very slow with your diet. This is a marathon, not a sprint o recovery.

I am a month out of fundo redo with hiatal herna repair, my stomach still hurts and my liver where my stomach had attached itself too hurts too. I am eating fairly normal now, I eat less and steak and bread are a no no but besides that it's not bad. Just surprised how much pain I still have and how full I still feel even a month after surgery......any ideas? Will it get better? Could my liver be damaged if it's still sore?

Also I still have a chronic lump feeling in my throat since surgery is this normal?
