MUSCLE PAIN NISSEN WITH DEEP BRETH

Hi Dan,

I didn't have any pain in my back, but my chest muscles and ligaments still can't handle deep breathing when I get out gf breath (9 months since op).

I had the same thing, terrible back pain for the first couple weeks post-Nissen. The nurse said it's because of the Hiatal Hernia repair they did at the same time. Apparently HH repair inflames the diaphragm, which attaches to the nerves in your back.

The good news is that pain does go away, I"m at 4 weeks post-surgery and hardly ever have it now. Early on, it felt like my back was broken!
