Don't blame you about
the PPI's I don't want to take Them either, to figure out if my allergist is correct and I do not have allergies I have silent Gerd I decided yesterday I will try PPIs for two weeks. Just remember to take ample amounts of magnesium glynicate since PPI's can deplete your magnesium. I also I'm going to take Mylanta before bed. Also for the mucus in my throat, & head, nose, ear fluids, something that I've taken on and off for the past year. I was misdiagnosed with allergies andused extra strength Mucinex and it works beautifully keeping sinus infections away, so I will continue to use that, I did read somebodies ear, nose and throat doctor said Mucinex as one aspect of their treatment something I've always been doing and I know it works for me. So I'm not eating after 6-7, used to be 8 that was not soon enough. I don't go to bed till one or 2 AM anyway. I absolutely have issues with my digestion, and I think that comes with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome too. I'm a mess and have been for years still trying to figure it all out! I did join some silent Gerd Facebook support page it's been good. I love to hear how everyone posted in 2011 was doing

Hi everyone,
First off, let me begin by saying I am so sorry that you are all suffering from GERD. I had no idea how physically and emotionally painful it is until recently.
My reflux began 5 months ago after taking doxycycline for a few weeks. I woke up one night in extreme pain, I was coughing constantly and could barely swallow. I never had acid reflux in the past!! Anyways, I stopped the doxy as soon as this happened and I felt a lot better within a week, but I still struggle CONSTANTLY with silent reflux. I also believe I have gastritis because sometimes my stomach feels extremely full after I eat the tiniest meals.
I saw a GI doctor who will be doing a endoscopy on me next thursday. I don't know how much help he will be because I refuse to take PPI's. His theory is that a doxy pill might have gotten stuck in my esophagus and is causing my problem. However, I don't believe this is the case. I think i would of healed by now if this theory was true. I think the antibiotics really messed up my gut flora and is causing a sorts of hell. But I am not a doctor so I really don't know.
I have tried many natural remedies but nothing seems to help. I also take probiotics. Perhaps I am not taking enough, or perhaps I am causing more of a bacteria imbalance with them. I have not tried enzymes or HCL because I am scared it might make it worse. I really want to find out of I have too much acid or too little before I consider HCL.
I am a 30 year old female who has always eaten extremely well. I am 5'7" and weigh 125 pounds so I don't think my weight is contributing to my reflex.
Will I ever heal? I am so scared the antibiotics have done permanent damage to my body:( Please, any advice or reassurance would be much appreciated!! Thank you for your time!
