It it true, however, that certain food and drink will make GERD worse so you should keep a food diary and what effects you have afterwards if any. The most usual lifestyle changes besides avoiding certain food and drink include not eating very large meals and not eating too late in the evening before lying down in bed. Your doctor can instruct you further.
