I have been diagnosed with Laryngopharyngeal reflux aka silent acid reflux, I have been unable to swallow hard or soft food and often times liquid, I couldn't even swallow my own saliva, I have to constantly spit and I hate it. Food would get stuck in the back of the throat and I am struggling to get it down. I have been taking nexium24hr for about two weeks now, the instruction say to take the 14 day treatment course for four months but the ENT that recommended this pill for me told me to be on it for just two months then see them in June.
Six days ago I thought food would be going down my throat like it use given to the fact that I am nearing the end of the 14 day treatment, but I had another "struggling to get food down" episode and I want to know why that happened? Maybe I need more time to take the pill and get it in my system, or maybe the side effect makes me loss my appetite and I am unable to eat like a human being. I find myself spitting again and I can't seem to eat. All I have been taking is my ensure drinks which keeps me abit nourished when needed. I am also having a crappy time swallowing the pill with water, maybe I should uses juice.
Is purple grape fruit too acidic for my to drink with nexium? Please respond ASAP anybody, please!
