Hello,
I had a nissen fundo revision on Friday, when I awoke from the surgery I had a peg tube in situ, with a bag attached to drain the bile, they have removed the bag now but left the peg tube in 'to hold my stomach in place'.
Is this normal? Has anyone else had this happen? Doesn't sound right to me.
I was also told I could eat a sloppy diet straight away after surgery, when with my previous op, and other research I have done I believed it was a clear fluid diet for a few days before building up to sloppy/ pureed food, will eating so early cause me any damage?
I'm not feeling confident with anything they have told me because its so different from my first surgery and everything I have read. They also tried to send me home with no laxatives (I can't strain) and worst of all no pain relief!!
Thanks
