Hi Guys ,
I have suffered with bad GERD for a couple of years, its very debilitating as some of you will no, hugely so. I do not have a large or known Hernia, my LES is wide
open and I have poor swallowing. I have seen an oesophageal specialist in London. He has referred me onto whom he considers a top surgeon. He states that its the Surgeons skill and experience which count in my scenario. He says its a risk because of weak primary swallowing, but I am a very good bet of a successful outcome as I have good oesophageal/peristalstic reserve which was picked up on a High Resolution Manometry. I do not yet know if I will be getting a total of part fundo. TBC.
Has anyone on here had a successful outcome with weak peristalsis or can recommend an excellent NHS surgeon (I would like a 2nd opinion on the approach)?
Jim
