Pain when swallowing

Evening

i am nearly two years post op and so far everything has been fine, until a few weeks back, on Friday night i started getting pain at the wrap site when i swallow, now i know the wrap is fine as i have been having no heartburn and if i get any acid it stops at the wrap site (painful but give me that than constant heartburn burning my throat).

Now what i think it is, is that I've stopped smoking (9 weeks today) and my body is just getting back to normal now i went to the doctors on Tuesday because i thought i had a chest infection when i told the doctor i was coughing a lot and he knew i had the nissan fundoplication surgery he suggested i take a months course of lansoprazole and i was given a stronger inhaler.

My question is how would i know if my wrap is starting fail ? is it possible that im right and my body is just getting back to normal ?

i quit cold turkey on new years day it was on a whim if i am honest but im still going strong 2 months later.

i would have the surgery again in a heartbeat.
