Hi, Brand new to this forum. I had my first endoscopy yesterday and in addition to the Dr. summary report, I am concerned because of the things that led up to this test. I have been having BAD cramping in the middle and slightly left of my stomach (by sternum) and soft stools after eating and multiple times daily even with only water in my system. They thought gall-bladder. Nope. CT negative, Xray negative, Ultrasound negative. All good! Except, why this pain and irreg bowel issues.
SO, endo - here is the summary report
1) I have an "irregular z-line" so they biopsied it
2) I have a 2 CM hiatal hernia
3) I have gastric polyps so they biopsied them
4) I have Mild gastric erythema, so they biopsied it
5) I have moderate duodenal bulb erythema, so they biopsied it
6) I have duodenal bulb nodularity, so they biopsied it
The z-line is what's scaring me. I have been on Protonix for almost 2 years because of GERD and it's been controlling it really well. For the last 5-8 years I lose my voice frequently and VERY easily. Makes me scared that this is beyond Barrett's and might be worse. I hate that I have to wait 10-14 days for results of this.
Does anyone have similar experiences?
Thank you for your input.
