No LYNX for Me. Nissen Redo?

I am a 62 year old woman with both GERD and Crohn's Disease. I had a Nissen Fundo in 2002 which apparently became unwrapped about 4 years ago. For the past year I have had severe nausea, heartburn, belching, stomach pain around the area of the sphincter. (in spite of being on Prevacid, Pepcid and Carafate) I also had two major Chrohn's flares and needed to go on prednisone. I have lost more than 35 pounds and generally feel bad much of the time. I saw a new GI who did both an endoscopy and colonoscopy which showed some minor gastritis and small areas of active Crohn's but not enough to account for all my symptoms. She referred me to a surgeon who I saw today to see if I was a candidate for the Lynx procedure . Turns out the device has nickel in it which I am allergic to. He is proposing a re-do of the Nissen. Has anyone had a Nissen redone?

Hi yes I had a redo by and experienced surgeon in 2009 but I did too much activity far too soon toupet 270 wrap nxt mth will have second redo floppy full nissen.answer make sure surgeon has done multiple success redos.the redo was easier than the first!good luck dont be a test dumby find a good redo surgeon and you will be fine
