Dear Xinte - So wish you had another person with you, during all this difficult stuff. Your little Pup is a good listener, but he can't prepare food for you, offer suggestions, drive you about, entertain you verbally, etc. And clean the bathroom after you are having problems.
Diarrhea is just the most miserable thing! I always get very discouraged at that point. (Don't suffer that very often) I tried to vomit once, and it hurt just terribly! I am very fearful of popping any stitches internally. It was dry heaves, like yours.
How disappointing not to be able to get Visiting Nurse service, or any other home-care aides. A down-side to country living, I guess. We live out in the country too, but town is 15 minutes away, and neighbors close by plus relatives two streets over and up the block. (Not that I call on them, but they are there if need be.)
20# in 8 days is a lot! I'd be wary of that; it will make you weak. Look forward to chewing; in the mean time tiny sip, sip, sip! about 6 times a day, try to get something nutritious down, please.
Thinking of you, across the Pond!
Ingrid (Color me Fresh Greens)
