FOMAPS diet

I went to a GI specialist last week concerning my vomiting, stomach cramps and heartburn after my Nissan wrap last October. I have worse heartburn now than I did before the surgery to put my stomach back from behind my heart. I was given a sheet of FODMAPS, things I couldn't eat for one week and then was to start adding things back in slowly. Also given a RX for Bentlyn and Protonix. I hadn't had a sick spell since last Sunday and the Dr was seen on Tues. I had been following the diet but today I had another vomiting spell which was one of the hardest ones yet. He was thinking maybe IBS and the meds helped some but could it be that my stomach being in the wrong place for so long that now that it is back in place the rest of the system is just trying to catch up?
