I need to know if anyone can let me know how they feel with the linx implant, I have had gerd since I was 15 and been on PPIs and now I am 30 and stopped PPIs and have to get a surgery, surgeon gave me 2 options. Fundoplication or linx, he thinks i might be better off with linx.

Welcome to the forum, meenus.

I don't have the linx and wouldn't get it because my surgeon said his group doesn't do those anymore because the results aren't as good as the Nissen. He gets good results in the 95% range.

Some people might do well with linx. I don't want magnets implanted because you can't have an MRI ever again. But read a whole bunch of reports from people who have had it.

Hello Menus,

A saw your posts from a few months ago and saw that you were considering undergoing the Linx. So have you done it yet? I'm curious to know if the went ahead with it.

I second Alcie's comment - my surgeon didn't perform the linx surgery, he said that the results weren't as good as the NF.

My doctor said the linx is not as successful as the nissen and he does not recommend it. I had the nissen and am happy so far.
