I have been researching these as well for my 16 year old son. I have found two chat groups on FB ..one each consist of people who have had LINX, and who have had or researching Esophyx tif.Lot's of info to be had. The only thing I can say is that the LINX is done laproscopically, and the tif is done through the esophagus so recovery time is much quicker.I had a difficult time finding recent info on the tif, which made me a little concerned that it wasn't being done that much. Unfortunately, my son isn't the required 21 years old for the LINX, so that pretty much made the choice for us. Also, I know for sure that my insurance Aetna does not pay for either procedure, as they consider it experimental. Have you checked to see if they cover one over the other? Not that anyone should base a decision like this on cost, but if it helps to narrow down the choice after you have gotten all your info, then maybe it might make the choice easier. Good luck with your investigation, and don't forget to post anything on this thread if you get any good info somewhere else...Be well.
