Ph bravo test

Hi there,

So I went to a different GI and she wants to do a ph bravo test and a biopsy of my esophagus (she thinks I might have EoE). But here is the thing, she scheduled my test for two weeks and I'm on dexilant 60 and I'm supposed to stop taking my medicine 7 days before the test and I'm afraid of the rebound effect it will have on my body, which won't that make the test some what inaccurate because I will be refluxing from rebound? I wanted to taper slowly off my medicine (especially Dexilant 60) because it's so strong. So should I push my test back at least another month so I have time to taper and not quick cold turkey and all my healing will just go out the window? Any input would be great

Basically quit cold turkey and I have been through acid rebound before and it's horrible. I don't see how my test can be effective when I will be going through Major rebound. I would rather taper slowly and then take the test, but I guess I'm not a doctor :-/
