Hi everyone,
Could really use some advice if anyone's been in this position.
I had a 270 fundoplication and hiatus hernia repair on 28.5.15. My symptoms prior to this were both LPR & GERD, heartburn, awful taste in mouth, difficulty swallowing etc.
Gastroscopy & PH tests revealed HH and bile reflux and as no meds were working, I had the 270 (recommended by my great surgeon and my preference due to seemingly less side effects post op).
I'm over 3 months now and unfortunately the reflux is still occurring. I had a repeat gastroscopy yesterday which showed the wrap in tact (although still infection in my oesophagus) and I'm redoing the PH tests next week.
It's likely that if the reflux is still there I will need to have a tighter wrap, which in this case would be the full Nissen.
Has anyone had this issue before? I know I don't need to tell those of you in the wrapped club that the thought of going through all of this again is a bit of a downer!!
Any advice much appreciated, thank you.
