Hi Ahmed,
The important thing to know about protein is that the average person, doing a normal workout, some cardio, some weights, everyday for an hour or two doesn't exert themselves enough to require any more protein than what you can get from eating a banana.
Its a big mistake that people make when they start going to the gym, all the extra protein isn't needed, it just ends up as fat. The people who do need the additional protein are body builders and professional athletes who are working out for multiple hours a day and pushing themselves to extremes, in these cases extra protein is needed to compensate for the extraordinary strain on their muscles. Even then, meat isn't the only source. There are many vegan pro athletes who get their protein from non-meat sources like soy, vegetables, fruit or nuts (so that pistachio habit will fill that gap).
The more important thing post workout is replacing electrolytes lost from sweating. Again those sports drinks for the average person aren't needed, the best thing is to have a banana and some water, or maybe some coconut water after your workout.
As for the milk thing, I don't share Peabs viewpoint on milk, some people have no problem digesting it. I do however agree that staying away from dairy, those things higher in lactic acid like milk and soft cheeses in particular, is good if for no other reason than that you might find you are slightly lactose intolerant.
Hi Jenagade ,
Well , i dont know what you mean by normal workout , we do some tough exercises , my coach really encourage me on high proteins daily , also i am looking for quick results , not as great bodybuilders , but something to reach fitness . my weight increased now to 70 kg , i was 63 kg . high protein meal after workout 30 to 60 minutes is the most important thing about
it , so this what i have been told from many people , my life , in the gym , internet , and many old trainers . ( Yeah there so much more benefits of pistachio :) )
I agree with you , milk does not give problems , but dairy literally ruin my day .
Thank you for the help .
