Linx recovery : 3 months, 2 weeks

Hi Everyone I am trying to get opinions on which surgery I should do linx or fundoplication, I have a small hiatal hernia and severe acid reflux, Had to stop PPIs because they were making me sick. Any suggestions or any advice? I have had gerd since I was 15 and it got worse in the last 6 months, I am 30 years old now.

alright one more update. post nasal drip seems to have been caused by throat swelling or something. basically its not my main problem.

drum roll.... it was too tight! I'm having it loosened in october, hopefully this will stop the soreness.

on the whole I'm a lot better than i was at the beginning of the year. i can't understand all these stories of 2-3 month recoveries from this surgery as mine has taken over a year and has been a really tough experience. my torso no longer feels like its got gunshot wounds in it and i can sleep for most of the night no problem.

i'll report back once I've had it loosened, but I'm pretty confident that its been put on too tight and that is pretty much the long and short of my trails and travails this year.

meenus, the impression i get is that the linx has far less give so the recovery can be harsher than the linx but its a trade off as the nissen often needs redoing after 15 years or so. then again I've heard the nissen can also be too tight.
